Kala Kalp Sanskrutik Sansthan, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Atasi Misra, once again demonstrated its commitment to the promotion and preservation of Indian classical arts by successfully organizing a three-day intensive Odissi dance workshop from April 24 to 26, 2026, at Kalyanmayee Activity Centre, INA Colony, Delhi.

Objective of Annual Initiative-

This annual initiative, conceptualized and curated by Dr. Misra, is aimed at strengthening the academic and practical foundations of young Odissi dancers. With a strong focus on holistic dance education, the workshop brought together over 20 participants from across India, offering them a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the depth and discipline of this ancient dance form.

Understand the nuances of Odissi-

The workshop was conducted by internationally acclaimed Odissi exponent Guru Jyoti Rout, whose guidance enabled students to explore the finer nuances of Odissi. The training sessions covered Abhinaya through Ganga Stuti, understanding of taal and raag composition, body conditioning, and Nrutya Yogasana for enhanced posture and balance.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Atasi Misra emphasized the importance of continuous learning and cultural grounding in today’s fast-paced world. She highlighted that such immersive workshops not only refine technique but also help dancers connect spiritually with the art form, encouraging them to appreciate its deeper aesthetic and philosophical dimensions.
