Health challenges in old age-

Let us tell you that Manoj Kumar was away from the film industry for a long time and was facing health challenges for some time. According to a report, Manoj Kumar died of cardiogenic shock caused by myocardial infarction. Along with this, he was also suffering from a serious disease like decompensated liver cirrhosis. He was admitted to the hospital on 21 February 2025.

Manoj Kumar's films were a medium of entertainment as well as patriotism and social messages. Due to which he has left an indelible mark on the cinema world. His films in the 1960s and 70s gave a new direction to Indian cinema. He was also awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Apart from this, he created a unique identity in Indian cinema. After acting, he also tried his hand at direction. He started with the 1965 film 'Shaheed', the story of which was based on the life of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. After this, he made the film 'Upkar' in the year 1967, for which he was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Director. Through films like 'Upkar', 'Purab Aur Paschim' and 'Kranti', he showed the spirit of patriotism in a strong way.
